Greetings Goddesses! Save the Date for our 4th Goddess Studio Meetup Gathering: 2-22-09! On Sunday evening, Feb 22, we will meet at 7:00 at the Goddess Studio. From 7:30-8:30 we'll view a powerful documentary "Full Circle" about the early history or rather "HERstory" This video is the 3rd of 3 films produced in 1993 in Canada by Donna Reed. This poetic documentary is a salute to 35,000 years of "pre-history" After the video, from 8:30-9:30 we will continue with a discussion and sharing of our thoughts that the show brought up for us. Viewing this film together is a great way to develop our Goddess Meetup series. Afterwards, we can share some dessert, so bring some snacks...the tea/coffee is on me! Aug 16th ~Happy Lunar eclipse! Greetings Goddesses, I'm a little behind in posting this meetup announcement...my apologies...It' At this gathering, we will continue with the 2nd film of the Goddess Trilogy Women and Spirituality series and we will view the film "The Burning Times". This is a challenging video to watch and I know it will be a profound springboard for sharing and dialogue after. I want to reiterate that the Goddess Studio is a safe environment for us to share our opinions, thoughts, and feelings. It is very important for us women to find our voices and express ourselves without fear of being judged or ostracized. I hold the intent that all views should be able to be expressed from the strong feminist and activist to the more passive, introspective or shy. In sharing our thoughts, our intent will be to express our own feelings without trying to “persuade” or to “offer advice”. To facilitate this, we will hold the dialogue circle in a “council sharing” format and use a talking stick. I’ll explain more about this at the meeting. It is a great tool for helping to make a safe environment and to keep the dialogue energy flowing in the group. We've had several more new members join since our last meetup, and I welcome you all to the group and encourage you to join us for this upcoming meeting even if you hadn't seen the first video. So please feel free to join in this time and anytime! Feel free to bring some snacks to share afterwards and any love offerings/donations are always appreciated. Please RSVP, and I look forward to seeing you all back here again! Last time we had over 20 women and I look forward to another vibrant and full group again this time!! When women come together in circles like this, it is a powerful and vital force in the world!
